Some thoughts about designs….
We at iKitchens, Etc. believe that if the kitchen is the heart of the home, then a good design is the heart of
your new kitchen. We want to work with you and create a design that integrates the following:
• The dimensions and constraints of your space
• How you currently use your kitchen
• The look you would like to have for your new kitchen
• How you would like to use your kitchen in the future
• Good design principles for kitchen layout
• Budgetary constraints
• Available IKEA design and cabinetry components
This information will be used to create the kitchen design that is right for you and your home.
In our work, we hear many interesting comments in our initial conversations with clients that we would like to
share with you –
“I have a small kitchen. It will just need a simple design.”
Yes, a small kitchen will require only a few cabinets. But, it often takes more time and creativity to come up
with a functioning design for a highly constrained space.
“I am just replacing my existing kitchen, so the design is already done.”
IKEA cabinetry sizing is usually not the same as the cabinet sizes found in an older kitchen. Because of this,
reworking the design may be needed to make best use of your physical space. Also, when you remodel
your kitchen, this is the time to think about how you would like to use the space and how the kitchen can
best support you and your lifestyle today.
Standard Design Package $350
Travel fees may apply
This package includes an on-site measurement service and 4 hours of consultation/design time (travel fees
may apply). Typically, iKitchens will produce one to two custom kitchen design ideas with AutoKitchens Pro
or IKEA kitchen software, along with one major revision. Should additional design or consultation time be
needed, it is charged at $75/hr. The end products you receive with this service are:
• On-site consultation and measurement visit (1 hour)
• 4 hours of design and phone or e-mail consultation time
• A room plan with all measurements, doors, windows, walls specified
• A floor plan of your kitchen design with cabinet sizes noted
• Three dimensional drawings and elevation drawings of your design
• Listing of IKEA® cabinetry required for building the design
• A receipt for a $75 rebate from IKEA® at time of cabinetry purchase
Off-Site Design Package $275
No Travel Fees
This is a very similar service to the Standard Design Package, except we do not visit your home. If you,
your builder or your architect supplies the measurements, we can create a kitchen design for your home.
We also can review an existing design that you have drawn or has been done for you by an architect or
kitchen designer and convert it to IKEA® cabinetry. Often, slight design changes are required based on the
cabinet sizing. Any additional design time is charged out at $75 per hour. You will receive the following:
• 4 hours of design and phone or e-mail consultation time
• A room plan with all measurements, doors, windows, walls specified
• A floor plan of your kitchen design with cabinet sizes noted
• Three dimensional drawings and elevation drawings of your design
• Listing of IKEA® cabinetry required for building the design
$75 IKEA® Rebate
Any home visit that includes the measurement service will qualify for a $75 rebate from IKEA® at the time of
your IKEA® cabinetry purchase. You will be able to secure this rebate by showing the IKEA® team member
your iKitchens, Etc, LLC measurement services receipt and your cabinetry purchase receipt to an IKEA
customer service representative.
